About Dentistry on Britannia

At a glance

Key takeaways

  • A collaborative dental team. You can ask for a particular dentist when you book.
  • General and family dentistry. Most of what a family needs over a lifetime happens here.
  • Early and late. 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday.
  • A written estimate before treatment. You see the cost before you agree to it.
  • We are general dentists, and we say so plainly instead of implying otherwise.

What kind of practice this is

A general and family dental practice. That means the everyday work: examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, gum care, extractions, tooth replacement and straightening.

It also means what it does not mean. Our dentists are general dentists. Where a case genuinely belongs with a specialist, we say so and help arrange it. We do not stretch to keep the work in the building.

Families are the point. A practice that sees a four year old and their grandparent in the same week is a different thing from one that sees only one of them.

Why a collaborative team matters to you

A practice is the people in it and how much they have each seen.

Different areas of focus. Between them our dentists list root canal treatment and surgical extractions, aesthetic dentistry, cosmetic and reconstructive work, and preventive care.

Fewer referrals out. Where a treatment sits outside one dentist's usual area, they consult a colleague or refer you internally. You do not get sent across the city.

Appointments that exist. Shared schedules make early and same-day emergency appointments easier to find.

You can ask for one by name. Say so when you book and the office will tell you their availability. Learn more about our dentists.

How we work

Treatment decisions are yours. We tell you what we found, what the options are, what each one involves and what it costs. Then you decide. A plan handed to you without that conversation is not a plan, it is an instruction.

Monitoring is a real option. Where watching something is reasonable, or a less invasive treatment would get you what you want, we say so, including when it is the cheaper answer.

No surprises at the desk. You get a written estimate before treatment starts. If the plan changes once we are underway, which happens because teeth do not always look the same inside as they do on an X-ray, we stop and talk to you first.

Nobody here lectures you about the gap. People stop going for all sorts of reasons and none of them is unusual in this building.

What we treat

Straightening teeth. Braces, clear braces and clear aligners for adults and for children. Learn more about orthodontic treatment.

Children. Check-ups, prevention and treatment, at a practice the rest of the family already uses. Learn more about children's dentistry.

Urgent problems. Pain, swelling, a broken tooth, a knocked-out tooth. Call us. Do not book online. Learn more about emergency dental care in Mississauga.

Paying for treatment

We bill most insurance plans directly. Bring your details and the office confirms what your plan covers before treatment begins.

We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan. It is open to all ages for eligible Canadian residents; eligibility requires no access to private dental insurance, the required Canadian tax returns, adjusted family net income under $90,000, and Canadian residency for tax purposes. Learn more about CDCP coverage at our practice.

We do not publish prices, because the honest number depends on what the tooth turns out to need. You get a written estimate instead, and a fresh one if the plan changes.

Say if cost is the constraint. It changes the conversation and the order we do things in. Treatment is staged over time where that helps.

Yes. No referral needed, and you do not need to be registered here already.

Can I ask for a particular dentist?

Yes. Ask when you book and the office will tell you their availability.

Are any of your dentists specialists?

Do you take my insurance?

We bill most plans directly. Bring your details and the office will confirm your coverage before treatment.

Do you accept CDCP?

Yes. The Canadian Dental Care Plan is open to all ages for eligible Canadian residents; eligibility requires no access to private dental insurance, the required Canadian tax returns, adjusted family net income under $90,000, and Canadian residency for tax purposes.
